McCoy is interested in interactive storytelling and social behavior in characters. His lab focuses on applying artificial intelligence techniques, social science, the humanities, art, design and game technology to create new interactive media experiences. The goal of McCoy's work is to create virtual characters whose fidelity of social and story performances approaches that of human actors.
