Michael Neff leads the Motion Lab, an interdisciplinary research effort in character animation and embodied interaction. His interests include character animation, especially modeling expressive movement, nonverbal communication and gesture, as well as embodied communication, virtual reality and XR. This work supports applications ranging from animation tools to virtual tutors to telepresence.
