Mariela serves as an undergraduate academic advisor supporting majors in Computer Science and Computer Science & Engineering. Prior to joining the computer science advising team, Mariela was the undergraduate advisor for the Anthropology Department at UC Santa Cruz. She is excited to continue working with undergraduate students to support them in reaching their personal, academic, and career goals. Mariela is an active member of NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising where she is part of the Emerging Leaders Program for the 2024-2026 cohort. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks, reading, journaling, and traveling.
